The municipal corporation (MC) on Monday demolished two illegal commercial buildings and an encroachment in Zone B and D, said officials.
In the first case, an illegal portion of a commercial building was demolished in Sundar Nagar area in MC Zone B. The building branch of MC Zone D demolished an under-construction illegal commercial building near Jawaddi canal bridge.
The teams cleared an encroachment near Keys Hotel on Sua road.
Assistant Town Planner (ATP) Harvinder Singh Honey said the drive will continue in the coming days. He added notices were served to the owners in the past, but they did not stop the illegal constructions, which led to the action on Monday.
