
MANILA, Philippines — Magnolia dominated a woeful Titan Ultra, to keep its PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup playoff hopes alive on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Hotshots pulled even with the San Miguel Beermen at 5-5 for a share of seventh and eighth spots in the standings.
The loss, meanwhile, dropped the Giant Risers to 2-8, joining the Blackwater Bossing and Macau Black Knights who are now out of playoff contention.
Clint Chapman led the Hotshots with 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while Zav Lucero and Javi Gomez De Liano chipped in 19 and 18, respectively.
Jerom Lastimosa added 16 points, four boards and six assists while rookie Yukien Andrada had 11.
Earl Gilmore led Titan Ultra with 31 points and 14 boards.
