
A 40-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances while he was riding a motorcycle towards Beas on the GT Road in Dhilwan town of Kapurthala district during the afternoon hours, police said. The incident has raised concerns as initial indications suggest that extreme heat may have triggered a sudden heart attack, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after a post-mortem examination.
The deceased has been identified as Jaskeerat Singh, 40, son of Bhupinder Singh, a resident of Rasulpur village in Mehatpur, Nakodar. According to preliminary information, he was travelling on the busy highway when he reportedly collapsed. Passersby and locals noticed him lying in an unconscious state and informed the authorities.
Police teams reached the spot shortly after being alerted and took possession of the body, which was subsequently sent for further examination.
