The Kurukshetra police arrested a man and seized 17.9 grams of heroin from his possession on Saturday. The accused, Sachin, is a resident of Kurukshetra.
Police spokesperson said, the Ladwa CIA unit received information that Sachin, an alleged drug peddler, was travelling by bus from Zirakpur to Ismailabad. After reaching Ismailabad, he was heading towards his village, Kheri Shahidan, when a police team intercepted him and recovered 17.9 grams of heroin. The police arrested him and registered a case under the NDPS Act at the Ismailabad police station. They said efforts were underway to identify his source and customers.
