Kota Kinabalu: A man sustained injuries when his Mitsubishi collided with a Toyota Hilux-Revo near the junction to BMW along Jalan Kolombong-Iramanis, Monday.

The man, in his 20s, was travelling in the car with a passenger and had just exited the junction when the 11.20am accident happened.

The Toyota driver in his 30s, who was believed to be heading towards Inanam from the City Mall direction, escaped unscathed.

Kota Kinabalu Sergeant Puan Wati was at the scene to investigate.

District Fire and Rescue Station Chief Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok said they received a call at 4.43pm and a team of 10 officers and personnel rushed to the scene on a fire engine and Emergency Medical Rescue Services utility vehicle.

He said the Kancil was badly damaged but victims in both vehicles only sustained minor injuries.

An ambulance at the scene provided first aid and sent the injured to the hospital.
