MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso ordered the suspension of classes on Tuesday in all levels in public and private schools.
He cited "inclement weather brought about by the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat)" as reason for the suspension.
"According to the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department, consistent weather models indicate moderate to heavy, at times intense rainfall expected throughout the day," he said.
"Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode," the mayor said.
