MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. commemorated the 109th birthday of his late father, former president Ferdinand Marcos, who taught him “the most important lessons of life.”
In a Facebook post on Friday, the president reflected on the values instilled in him by his father.
“My father from whom I learnt the most important lessons of life. Who taught me to value Duty, Honor and Country To live for others and not oneself. Happy Birthday Dad,” he said.
Marcos is scheduled to attend a mass and lead the wreath-laying ceremony at his father’s monument in Batac City.
