Kota Kinabalu: The Media and Communications Recreational Club Kota Kinabalu (MedComm KK) will host its inaugural friendly pool and darts tournament with media practitioners from the National Press Club (NPC) on Oct 24.
MedComm KK chairman Christopher Bernard Maskilone (pic) said teams from the Sabah Tourism Board and Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) would also take part in the one-day tournament at JPool Damai.
He said the event was aimed at fostering camaraderie, promoting sportsmanship and providing participants with an opportunity to unwind amid their busy schedules.
The tournament would also strengthen ties between media and communications personnel from Sabah and the peninsula, as well as state government agencies, while encouraging an active lifestyle among club members.
Christopher said collaboration and the exchange of views, information and ideas on current issues were important in the fast-paced digital communications environment, making such programmes valuable for building stronger professional relationships.
