PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) announced that it will contest 11 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN), which will be held on August 1.
This was announced by PN Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar at the Negeri Sembilan PN Candidate Announcement Ceremony at Kompas Kampung Ismail, last night.
According to him, out of the 11 seats contested, five seats are allocated to PAS, four to Wawasan, one to Gerakan and one to MIPP.
Meanwhile, Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim's son, Danni Rais, who previously contested for Bersatu, has once again been nominated to contest for the Kuala Klawang state seat, but this time on the Wawasan party ticket.
In addition, the incumbent of the Gemas state seat, Ridzuan Ahmad, who was previously from Bersatu, was also renominated there as the Wawasan candidate.
Former Malacca Deputy Police Chief, Datuk Razali Abu Samah, represents Wawasan in the Sikamat state seat.
Earlier, PAS Deputy President, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, said that the coalition would complete the 'puzzle' of seats that were not contested by BN.
"This state election is an important preamble, a new 'alignment' of Malaysian politics. BN announced 25 state seats, but the 'puzzle' is not complete, and we will complete it by announcing candidates in 11 state seats," he said. – July 17, 2026
