SEREMBAN – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) information chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz is among 24 candidates fielded by the party for the Negeri Sembilan state election on Aug 1.
He was announced as the candidate for the Sikamat State Legislative Assembly seat, marking his first electoral contest in Negeri Sembilan.
The full list of candidates was announced by Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin during the party's election machinery launch and candidate announcement ceremony in Nilai on Friday.
Negeri Sembilan Bersatu chairman Hanifah Abu Bakar has been entrusted to defend the Labu DUN seat.
Meanwhile, Bersatu associate wing chief R. Sri Sanjeevan and former Seremban Umno Youth chief Zool Amali Hussein have also been selected to contest for the first time, in Jeram Padang and Lenggeng respectively.
