KUALA LUMPUR – Women's lifestyle brand Nona has launched its Ruby Jubilee celebrations to mark its 40th anniversary, with the upcoming Nona Gala Awards 2026 set to be a key highlight.
The celebrations began with a media soirée at The Heritage Club, Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday, where guests were given a preview of the upcoming awards.
The Nona Gala Awards 2026, themed “An Afternoon Among Trailblazers and Icons”, is organised by Nona in partnership with local digital interactive content platform seeNI, with SFJ as the main sponsor.
During the event, Nona introduced two new award categories: Nona Rising 40 Under 40 and Nona People's Choice Icons of the Year.
The categories are intended to recognise emerging talent and established figures as Nona marks four decades of highlighting the stories, achievements and aspirations of Malaysian women.
Nu Ideaktiv Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Syamil Fahim Mohamed Fahim said the anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on Nona's legacy while strengthening its connection with younger generations.
He said Nona aimed to continue empowering women and remain a relevant and inspiring platform for decades to come.
The Nona Gala Awards 2026 will be streamed live on the official YouTube and Facebook channels of Nona and Mingguan Wanita, allowing audiences nationwide to follow the event.
First published in 1986, Nona covers topics including leadership, fashion, beauty and women's empowerment.
