Sacked Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari has returned to the club.
Marca says Solari has officially rejoined Real Madrid, with the coach who was dismissed last season set to become an institutional ambassador.
Solari was sacked after a dismal string of results eliminated Real Madrid from the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. He also led the club to the Club World Cup title in December 2018, with an impressive 4-1 win in the final.
Despite this, the club appreciated his effort in stepping up from the Castilla to take charge of the first team and offered him a chance to continue within the club in a different capacity.
Solari has now accepted the club's offer to join the director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueno and fellow ambassadors such as Roberto Carlos and Alvaro Arbeloa, as authorized voice to defend and promote the club and its brand.
