
An Odissi dance workshop was organised at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, in collaboration with SPICMACAY. The objective was to connect students with Indian classical art and culture and to create awareness about the country’s rich cultural heritage. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome address by the Principal Gulshan Kaur. Dr Kiran Seth founded SPICMACAY and has been continuously working towards preserving Indian culture and traditional values among the youth. The workshop was conducted by renowned Odissi dancer Ishita Mohanty, a disciple of Guru Madhavi Mudgal. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers. Ishita demonstrated various dance postures, expressions and technical nuances with great impact, leaving everyone highly inspired and enthusiastic. The Principal appreciated the initiative and stated that the school feels proud to collaborate with SPICMACAY in inspiring students to preserve and cherish India’s rich cultural heritage.
