
THE Southern Police District (SPD) announced on Friday that it seized P30,600 worth of suspected shabu weighing 4.5 grams and arrested four suspects in a buy-bust operation in Pasay City.
Police officials revealed that the operation was conducted at about 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 27, 2026, along Andrew Avenue, Barangay 185, Zone 19.
Operatives identified the arrested individuals as alias “Alas,” 38; alias “Jona,” 31; Joel Lina y Ramirez, alias “Jo,” 36; and alias “Dan,” 51, all of whom are newly identified street-level individuals (SLIs).
Authorities said the operation was carried out by Pasay City Police operatives, in coordination with elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Authorities confiscated several sachets containing suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, the buy-bust money, and other pieces of evidence.
The seized suspected shabu, weighing approximately 4.5 grams, will be submitted to the SPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The physical inventory, marking, and photographing of the seized evidence were conducted at the place of arrest in accordance with Section 21, Article II of RA 9165, in the presence of the suspects and required witnesses, including a barangay official and a media representative.
The suspects were informed of the offenses committed and apprised of their constitutional rights. They were subsequently brought to the SDEU, Pasay CPS, for documentation.
Appropriate complaints for violations of Sections 5, 13, 14, and 15 of Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
In a separate operation in the city’s Barangay 39, Zone 5, a 63-year-old woman drug suspect was arrested, yielding approximately 3.5 grams of shabu valued at P23,800.
