ELEVEN years in the making, but it's finally coming through.
The highly anticipated rematch between Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao and undefeated American Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set on Sept. 20.
Streaming giant Netflix on Tuesday announced it's going to livestream the mega fight between the two Hall-of-Famers at the Sphere in Las Vegas on Sept. 19, 2026 (Sept. 20 in Manila).
"Two of the greatest icons in boxing history will meet again," wrote Netflix on a social media post.
"Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao The first-ever professional boxing match at Sphere in Las Vegas. Saturday, September 19. Live globally only on Netflix."
Mayweather defeated Pacquiao via unanimous decision in their first encounter, dubbed as "Fight of the Century" back in May 2015.
Attempts for a rematch didn't work out, and both Pacquiao and Mayweather, now 47 and 48 years old, respectively, ended up retiring and unretiring to have a follow-up for their mega bout come through.
In between, the two boxers have kept themselves busy doing exhibition fights with Pacquiao, even running for president in the 2022 Philippine elections.
Pacquiao (62-8-3) retired in 2021 following a loss to Yordenis Ugas but came out of retirement to battle Mario Barrios to a draw last July.
The world's only 8-division champ will face former world champ Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18 in Las Vegas in an exhibition first before taking on Mayweather anew.
Announcing his unretirement last weekend, Mayweather (50-0) will also have one more exhibition bout before his return to professional scene, taking on former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson on April 25.
Mayweather last fought professionally in 2017 when he scored a 10th-round knockout of Conor McGregor.
At press time on Tuesday afternoon, Pacquiao and Mayweather haven't made public comments about their rematch yet.
