MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecasts fair weather and localized thunderstorms on Monday.
"There is a Low Pressure Are outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility...The Low Pressure is very far so it is not likely to affect our weather condition today. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon reaches only up to Indochina...The easterlies are what is affecting extreme northern Luzon," Weather Specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in Filipino and English in Pagasa's 5 a.m. bulletin.
"So, we are expecting that the weather will be good and fair today in Luzon, likewise in the Visayas and Mindanao," Aurelio said.
But, he said, there would be localized thunderstorms which would "give sudden downpours, most especially in the afternoon or evening," were also expected.
No gale warning was issued.
