Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya organised a two-day campus recruitment drive at the Human Resource Development and Placement Centre under the Students’ Welfare Organisation in collaboration with Niche Group of Companies on May 24 and 25.
The recruitment initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from 74 postgraduate and PhD students representing the university’s four constituent colleges; College of Agriculture, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, College of Community Sciences, and College of Basic Sciences. Students from diverse academic disciplines appeared for the interview process conducted by the company representatives.
The recruitment drive was conducted in association with various verticals of the Niche Group, including Niche Agriculture, Niche Agriculture and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Niche Film Farm, Niche Biotech and Infotech, and Niche Racing and Livestock.
Vice-Chancellor Ashok Kumar Panda encouraged students to actively participate in placement opportunities and shared valuable guidance and tips on interview preparation and professional growth. He expressed gratitude to Harisharan Devgan for strengthening academia-industry collaboration with the university. The VC also appreciated the proactive efforts of the HRD and placement centre for creating meaningful career opportunities for students.
The interview process was conducted in the physical mode by Chief Executive Officer Pankaj Bansal along with his recruitment team. Students’ Welfare Officer Desh Raj Choudhary, Programme Director Rajendra Damu Patil, and faculty coordinators Ranjana Verma, Rakesh Kumar, Arun Kumar, and Ankaj Ahuja coordinated the recruitment drive smoothly on the campus. The initiative reflects the university’s continued commitment towards enhancing employability, strengthening industry linkages, and providing quality career avenues to its students.
