KOTA KINABALU: PKR Penampang has dismissed Jeffrey Kitingan’s newly launched Justice for Sabah movement as recycled rhetoric aimed at staying relevant.
Information chief Kennedy Frankie Chang said Jeffrey repeatedly falls back on the “Sabah for Sabahans” slogan whenever his position is threatened, while his record is marred by party-hopping and power compromises.
The statement also linked Jeffrey to allegations of a RM1.78 million political bribe from businessman Albert Tei, with his aide Rizal seen in a widely circulated video.
Kennedy further criticised Jeffrey for politicising the Oath Stone, a historic symbol of Sabah’s dignity, to shield himself from scrutiny.
“Jeffrey is not the victim but part of the problem,” he said, urging him to first clear his name of graft allegations before talking about justice for Sabah.
