Perpetual Help aims for top spots in NCAA volleyball groups

With two games remaining in the elimination round, the men’s and women’s teams of University of Perpetual Help aim to secure the top spot in their respective groups in the NCAA Season 101 volleyball tournament.

The Altas currently share the lead in Group A with College of Saint Benilde with identical 8-3 win-loss records. The Blazers, however, are leading the Altas on points, 25-24.

The Lady Altas, on the other hand, pace Group A with a 9-2 record and 25 points. Saint Benilde trails with an 8-3 card but with 25 points also.

The top two finishers in the group stage will have the twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinal round.

The Perpetual Help teams will take on San Sebastian College on Friday and Mapua on Sunday.

In men’s Group B, Arellano University and Emilio Aguinaldo College carry 7-4 records while San Beda has a 7-5 card.

In women’s Group B, Letran is unbeaten in 11 games while San Beda totes a 9-3 record.
