The men’s and women’s volleyball teams of University of Perpetual Help System Dalta scored back-to-back wins against the teams of Jose Rizal University in the NCAA on Sunday at the San Andres Gym in Malate, Manila.
Jester Bornel tallied 18 points on 7 attacks, 9 blocks and 2 aces to lead the Altas to a 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 victory over the Heavy Bombers.
It was also the team’s 8th win in 11 games in the men’s tournament.
The Lady Altas, on the other hand, prevailed over their JRU counterparts, 25-l4, 25-22, 25-20 for their 9th win in 11 outings.
Charisse Enrico scored 15 points on 12 attacks and 3 blocks for the Lady Altas.
Cyrille Almeniana and Camille Bustamante added 13 points apiece.
Setter Fianne Ariola chipped in 22 excellent sets while libero Jodi Lozano finished with 18 digs and 8 receptions.
