Rookie Elizha Sildo and Ramiel Pangilinan conspired to give University of Perpetual Help its fifth victory in five games, 18-25, 26-24, 25-14, against Lyceum University in the NCAA Season 101 girls volleyball tournament on Monday at the Arellano Gym in Pasay City.

Sildo collected 10 attacks and a service ace while Pangilinan registered five attack points and six blocks for the Sandy Rieta-coached unit.

Setter Jaja Monte posted 10 excellent sets and three digs even as libero Janine Espiritu chipped in  five receptions and three digs.

Aleah Alipan led Lyceum with 19 pts, all on attacks.

The semis-bound Junior Lady Altas are now assured of a top 2 finish in the preliminary round. Their remaining game in the elims is against defending champion Arellano University on March 16. That game will determine who will occupy the number one spot going into the final four.

In the boys tournament, the defending Junior Altas scored a 25-19, 25-20, 25-21 victory against Emilio Aguinaldo College led by team captain Gab Macatuno who netted 12 points.

It was the ninth win in 11 games by the Junior Altas.
