MANILA, Philippines — PLDT High Speed Hitters snapped a two-game dry spell after a four-set win over the Farm Fresh Foxies, 25-16, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference on Friday afternoon at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
The reigning Invitational champions suffered back-to-back setbacks against Nxled and Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City but Friday’s win gave them a 2-2 win-loss record.
Savi Davison made a monstrous performance of 32 points on 28 attacks and four blocks, and showed that she’s an all-around player with 10 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions in a four-set victory.
Kianna Dy showed her efficiency in the wing by adding 15 points, while Majoy Baron chipped in eight points.
Farm Fresh was led by Ces Molina who scored 12 points and Royse Tubino who finished with 11 points.
The High Speed Hitters focused their defense on fiery gunner Trisha Tubu, limiting her to only five points in the match.
Facing the unscathed Creamline in their last match, Davison shrugged off the threat posed by 6-foot-3 middle-blocker Jaja Santiago.
“She’s tall, and she’s really good, but we just can’t focus on one person. At the end of the day, all of them are really capable, so we will focus on our overall match,” Davison said during the post-game presser.
Farm Fresh fell to 1-3.
The top two teams at the end of the single round-robin will advance directly to the championship match, while the third- and fourth-ranked teams will battle for third place.
