The Department of School Education has constituted a state-level committee to examine applications rejected under Section 12(1)(C) of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, and has given an opportunity to parents and guardians to present their cases for reconsideration.
In a public notice on Monday, the department stated that many applications uploaded on the online portal for admission to unaided private schools under the 25% quota scheme for the session 2026-27 had been rejected during scrutiny by DEOs (Elementary).
