KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 - MRT services on the Putrajaya Line returned to normal this morning following the completion of power supply repairs, said Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

The alternative train services and free shuttle buses provided during the disruption have also been discontinued.

The service disruption was caused by a power cable theft near Damansara Damai Station, which affected Putrajaya Line train operations.

“Rapid Rail deployed nearly 180 additional staff at affected stations and provided 20 free shuttle buses throughout the disruption period.

“A police report has been lodged, and Rapid Rail is cooperating with the police to assist in the investigation and identify those responsible,” it said in a statement.

Rapid Rail has also stepped up security monitoring of tracks and facilities, and operations through continuous patrols by the Auxiliary Police team.

Passengers are advised to contact Rapid KL Customer Service at 03-78852585 or the nearest authorities if they notice any suspicious activity around the tracks or train facilities.
