In addition to visiting and welcoming relatives and friends in conjunction with Eid al-Fitr 2026, I had also received a lot of Eid greetings internationally & locally via social media like FB, whatsapp, messenger, and instagram including phone calls. Many took that opportunity to share candid feedbacks on my stories that Newswav had published recently. I'm indeed humbled reading those kind & positive messages especially from my alma mater, King Edward VII School & the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) alumni: Pak Firmansyah (Seatle), Anwar Bhai (Boulder), Ibu Dr. Kartika (Jakarta), to name a few.
Newswav, “A prominent Malaysian content aggregator with over 2.4 installs & partnerships with more than 200 publishers, has seen its top stories drive significant engagement, public reaction & top international news regarding its role in citizen journalism. It has led to dissemination of best local stories." Overall, the response to Newswav stories suggests it is highly influential platform in Malaysian digital sphere, serving as both a source of breaking news.” (www.newswav.com)

In support of my story “Children need fathers just as they need mothers, to love and be interested in them & making them feel valued”, a respectable Old Edwardian Dato' Seri Abdul Mutalib Razak, stated “In the past 50 years of parental experience, my late dearly beloved wife and I, had developed a meaningful relationship with our children and grandchildren. It is important that we grow up with them in all aspects of their lives until they are matured. Until today my children still ask me to advise them on major decisions. My grandkids are exposed and benefited good relationships with me within limits.”

CPA S. Suppiah, former Executive VP Finance of Malaysia Airlines, who is currently in Melbourne, Australia narrated to me that “Thanks for sharing this interesting article on the role of a father with his kids. Normally, the mothers play a key role in bringing up children. However, in reality it is their fathers who have to play more than just a supportive role by having a close bond with their children and guiding them to a stage when they can be on their own.”
