
ODIONGAN, Romblon — Three provinces are now under a Red rainfall warning alert while several National Capital Region (NCR) cities are under Orange and Yellow warnings, according to the state weather bureau, Pagasa (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration)
In its 5 a.m. rainfall warning, the Red warning is up in Batangas (Balayan, Tuy, Lian, Calatagan, Calaca, Lemery, Laurel, Agoncillo, Talisay, Tanauan, Malvar, Balete, Mataasnakahoy, Batangas City, San Jose, Lipa, Cuenca, San Pascual, San Luis, Bauan, Santa Teresita, Alitagtag, Taal, San Nicolas, Nasugbu, Taysan, Ibaan, Rosario, Padre Garcia, Santo Tomas), Zambales (Botolan, Iba, Cabangan, San Narciso, San Felipe, San Antonio, Subic, Olongapo, Castillejos, San Marcelino) and Bataan(Morong, Hermosa, Dinalupihan, Bagac).
Low-lying and flood-prone areas face serious flooding, Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, the orange rainfall warning alert is up in Muntinlupa and Las Pinas in Metro Manila, as well as in Pampanga (Bacolor, Mexico, Santa Ana, Arayat, Magalang, San Fernando, Angeles, Mabalacat, Floridablanca, Lubao, Santa Rita, Guagua, Porac, Santo Tomas, Minalin, Macabebe, Masantol, Sasmuan), Tarlac (Bamban, Capas, San Jose, Mayantoc, Tarlac City, Concepcion), Zambales(Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria, Santa Cruz), Laguna (Calamba, Cabuyao, Santa Rosa, Binan, San Pedro, Alaminos, Calauan, Bay, Los Banos, San Pablo), Bulacan (Paombong, Hagonoy), Batangas(Lobo, San Juan), Quezon(Tiaong, San Antonio) and Oriental Mindoro.
Pagasa warned of floods or landslides in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain.
Meanwhile, the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Paranaque, Taguig, Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, San Juan, Pasay, Pateros, Marikina, Manila are under Yellow warning alert, as well as Rizal, Laguna (Lumban, Kalayaan, Liliw, Luisiana, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan, Pila, Rizal, Santa Cruz, Victoria, Cavinti, Famy, Mabitac, Paete, Pakil, Pangil, Santa Maria, Siniloan), Quezon(Real, Sampaloc, Lucban, Tayabas, Sariaya, Candelaria, Dolores, Lucena), Bulacan (San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Bustos, Pandi, Baliuag, Plaridel, Pulilan, Calumpit, Malolos, Bulakan, Guiguinto, Bocaue, Balagtas, Obando, Meycauayan, Marilao), Pampanga (Apalit, Candaba, San Luis, San Simon) and Tarlac (Anao, Gerona, La Paz, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, Victoria, Camiling, Moncada, San Clemente, Santa Ignacia).
Flooding or landslides are possible in these areas.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are currently affecting Nueva Ecija, Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Mauban, Pagbilao, Agdangan, Alabat, Atimonan, Buenavista, Burdeos, Calauag, Catanauan, General Luna, Guinayangan, Gumaca, Jomalig, Lopez, Macalelon, Mulanay, Padre Burgos, Panukulan, Patnanungan, Perez, Pitogo, Plaridel, Polillo, Quezon, San Andres, San Francisco, San Narciso, Tagkawayan, Unisan), and Bulacan (Angat, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael), which may persist within 3 hours.
Moderate to heavy rains are also expected over San Fernando, Cajidiocan, and Magdiwang in Romblon and Mogpog, Boac, Gasan, Buenavista, and Torrijos in Marinduque within the next two to three hours.
Moderate to heavy rains are affecting the towns of Looc, Ferrol, Santa Fe, Alcantara, Odiongan, San Andres, San Agustin, Santa Maria, Calatrava, Romblon, San Jose, Concepcion, Banton, and Corcuera in Romblon, which may persist for two to three hours.
Meanwhile, the provinces of Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales could expect monsoon rains, while the provinces of Ilocos Sur and Abra should expect occasional rains due to the Southwest Monsoon.
Negros Island Region, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Western Visayas will expect Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the rest of Visayas could expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
Mindanao will expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
