Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AI-driven digital manufacturing firm Avitri Intelligence Private Limited in a move aimed at strengthening industry-academia collaboration and preparing students for emerging technologies.
Under the partnership, a Centre of Manufacturing AI Excellence (COMAI) will be set up on the university campus to promote innovation, skill development and research in advanced manufacturing technologies.
The MoU was signed by MDU Registrar Prof Sandeep Bansal and Avitri Intelligence Founder and Chairperson Mrinalini Chaudhary in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof Milap Punia. Dean Academic Affairs Prof AS Maan, along with deans, faculty members and company officials, was also present on the occasion.
“The collaboration will focus on key areas such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, software development, digital solutions and manufacturing technologies. Under the agreement, students and faculty members will get opportunities to participate in joint research projects, industry-led assignments and hands-on training programmes aimed at bridging the gap between academics and industry requirements,” said Pankaj Nain, Public Relations Officer of the university.
