
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Karate Association (SKA) emerged the overall champions in the just concluded MSN National Talents Carnival Karate competition held at MSN’s Gymnasium II in Kuala Lumpur.
They took home seven golds, three silvers and four bronzes to top the medal standings after two days of competition which started on Friday.
In second place were Selangor Karate do Association with three golds, five silvers and three bronzes followed by Malaysia Hayashi-Ha Karate Federation with three golds, one silver and four bronzes.
SKA’s gold medal winners were Nur Radhiah Fatihah Razmi, Joshua Joueal Jepin, Alvince Zurizal, Nur Ellsya Amanda Walter, Al Zovainz Bin Zurizal, Ryan Jareth and Adlin Vince Viceroy.

Read more The silver medals came from Khairil Iman Amat, Audrey Adreana Baking, Eve Starnasia Manuel while the bronze medals were delivered by Rachel Ann Dunis, Thiery Christian Thomas, Nur Rasyiqah Fari’ah Razmi and Ellroy Neeyo Nicholas.
The contingent was represented by 17 athletes and led by team manager Richard Ajak with coaches Ronney Boy Gomboro and Nurul Shyakira Zakaria who is also the chaperon.
Meanwhile, SKA secretary general Julian Chin who had earlier not set any target for the contingent was delighted with the overall result and expressed his gratitude to Sabah Sports Council for their support.
