Sabah Karate Association exponents capture five golds

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Karate Association (SKA) captured five golds, one silver and three bronzes at the 12th Silent Knight Karate Cup 2023 competition held at Titiwangsa Stadium in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.

The gold medallists were Putri Izz Dini Imtiaz Ali (Girls Individual Kata 6-7 years), Nur Rasyiqah Fari’ah Razmi (Girls 12-13 years Individual Kata and Kumite-47kg), Nur Radhiah Fathiah Razmi (Cadet Female Individual Kumite -47kg) and the female Kumite Cadet team (Nur Radhiah Fathiah Razmi, Nur Shaheen Izazi Imtiaz Ali and Ameera Jnita Liew).

The only silver came from Al-Zovainz Zurizal (Boys Individual Kumite 12-13 years -50kg) while the bronze medal were delivered by Nur Shaheen Izazi Imtiaz Ali (Cadet Female Individual Kata 14-15 years), Al-Zovainz Zulrizal (Boys Individual Kata 12-13 years) and Elysa Priscilla Philip (Junior Female Individual Kumite -59kg).

SKA secretary general Julian Chin was pleased with the results achieved and added that there are more competitions to come for the juniors.
