SANDAKAN: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) continues to strengthen ties with its retirees through home visits honouring those who once served to safeguard Sabah’s security and sovereignty.
Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azhar Hamin said the welfare visits and aid presentations in Batu 12 on Thursday also served to foster closer bonds between serving personnel and former officers.
Azhar said the contributions were a token of appreciation for the retirees’ sacrifices, which he described as invaluable and impossible to fully repay.
He urged ex-police associations to actively look after their members’ welfare, while noting that PDRM’s dedicated retirees unit continues to assess and coordinate targeted assistance.
He also called on the public to support serving personnel in carrying out their duties to maintain national peace, security, and sovereignty.
