KIMANIS: Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) acting president Priscella Peter said Sabahans should rise and demand a change in the state administration due to the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government “only having made empty promises.”“For instance, issues regarding roads and water supply persist. Similarly, job opportunities are lacking, forcing many of our youths to migrate to other states in search of work, with some even seeking employment abroad.

“Many promises have been made but remain unfulfilled... that is why we need to change this situation,” she said at the launch event of the KDM Election Machinery for the Bongawan state constituency, Saturday.

Present were KDM Deputy President Datuk Wetrom Bahanda, among others.

Priscella’s dad, Datul Peter Anthony, is currently serving jail for corruption.

Priscella said the large presence of KDM supporters at the event is an early indication that the people across the State desire change.

She said although Peter is no longer part of KDM’s leadership, it does not weaken the party’s spirit to continue fighting for the interests and rights of the people of Sabah.

Earlier, Wetrom confirmed that KDM will contest 38 seats in the state election.
