San Juan City prepares for All Saints' Day

SAN Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said the city government would deploy additional security personnel, traffic enforcers, sanitation teams and emergency responders during All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

“So our expected visitors on Nov. 1 will be somewhere between 35,000 to 40,000,” Zamora told reporters as he visited the San Juan City Cemetery on Thursday.

Cemetery visiting hours were set from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Items prohibited inside the cemetery include firearms, bladed weapons, alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs. Gambling is not allowed, and bicycles and motorcycles will be denied entry.

Vendors will be allowed in designated areas only.

"The local government unit has the power to regulate parking within the jurisdiction of the city. But since this is Undas, we have a special consideration for those who will be visiting our San Juan Cemetery," Zamora said
