THE Sandiganbayan’s Third Division denied Ramon Revilla Jr.’s second motion seeking the inhibition of Associate Justice Karl Miranda, finding the plea without merit.
Third Division clerk of court Dennis Pulma told The Manila Times on Tuesday that the court issued the resolution on Sept. 24.
Revilla had sought Miranda’s inhibition over concerns involving the justice’s brother, lawyer Buenaventura Miranda, who represented former Department of Public Works and Highways undersecretary Roberto Bernardo, a prosecution witness.
The court said Revilla failed to present clear and convincing evidence of bias or partiality warranting Miranda’s inhibition.
