Municipal Commissioner Randeep Singh Heer inspected sanitation arrangements at Cinema Road and Banga Road ahead of the monsoon. During the visit, he assessed the cleanliness measures being carried out in the area.
Speaking to mediapersons after the inspection, the Commissioner said a special cleanliness drive was being conducted daily from 7 am to 8 am following government instructions in view of the upcoming monsoon. He expressed satisfaction with the sanitation arrangements and the work being carried out by the municipal staff. He urged shopkeepers and residents not to throw plastic waste into drains, stating that it was one of the main reasons for blocked drains and waterlogging during the rainy season.
