
Kota Kinabalu: Newly appointed Kota Kinabalu Officer-in-Charge of Police District (OCPD) ACP Shahrudin Mat Husain has pledged to build on the strong foundation established by his predecessors while driving continuous improvements in policing and public service delivery.
Speaking after officially assuming office on Wednesday, he said his appointment was a significant responsibility to safeguard public safety, preserve law and order and uphold the rule of law in the State capital.
Shahrudin said his leadership would focus on strengthening professional policing, enforcing the law fairly and firmly, and enhancing cooperation with the community and partner agencies.
He said the existing governance and management practices implemented at the Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters would be maintained and further improved in line with the Royal Malaysia Police's vision of becoming a trusted and professional security force.
Shahrudin also expressed appreciation to the Police leadership for the confidence placed in him and pledged to work closely with all officers and personnel to ensure Kota Kinabalu remains safe, peaceful and secure.
