Southwest monsoon to bring more rain — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon will bring more rain as it continues to affect Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.

Pagasa said the southwest monsoon will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, including the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa, and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Aklan, and Antique.

The agency warned that flash floods or landslides could occur in areas experiencing moderate to at times heavy rain. The rest of the country will have "partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or localized thunderstorms," and flash floods or landslides would be likely during severe thunderstorms.
