TUARAN: Tekun Nasional will launch a special microfinancing scheme for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates during the National TVET Day in Melaka this June.
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick (pic) said the scheme aims to help TVET graduates from various institutions start small businesses based on their technical skills.
An initial budget of RM30 million has been allocated for the programme, with the potential for additional funding based on public response and demand.

As of May this year, Tekun has supported 306 TVET graduates in sectors including motorcycle and car workshops, electrical wiring, welding, metalwork, mechanical services, and electronic repair.
