
TUARAN: Fifteen trainees sponsored by Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR) have completed the Career Skills Training Course for the Oil and Gas industry at ESTC Academy here.
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the programme was a strategic collaboration between YBR, agencies under his ministry, ESTC Academy, and Montfort Youth Training Centre (MYTC) in Penampang.
He said such initiatives are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to uplift the economic standing of Sabahans through targeted, industry-relevant training programmes.

The fully sponsored course, worth RM310,032.30, ran from March 3 to April 15 this year, and covered modules such as Technical and Safety Training, Blasting and Painting, CIDB-certified Scaffolding Level 1, Rigging and Slinging, and Firewatching.
