
PETALING JAYA: Sunway Theme Parks is cooperating with the relevant authorities in investigations into a roller coaster incident at Sunway Lagoon that left 10 people injured on Saturday.
In a statement, the company said it would continue to provide full assistance to the authorities and support those affected throughout the investigation.
Sunway Theme Parks said it deeply regretted the incident and expressed concern for the affected visitors and their families.
“Our thoughts are with the guests and their families, and we sincerely regret the distress and concern caused by the incident,” it said.
The company said the safety and wellbeing of its guests remained its top priority.
“Since the incident, our immediate focus has been on the care, medical needs and wellbeing of those affected. We have provided the necessary medical assistance and support, and remain in close contact with the guests and their families,” it said.
Sunway Theme Parks said it was taking the incident extremely seriously.
“We remain firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety across our attractions and facilities, and to ensuring the wellbeing and confidence of all our guests,” it said.
