Yesterday, a secondary school in Banting witnessed a horrific attack which saw a girl stabbing a student multiple times with a knife, leaving the latter severely injured.
As police are working around the clock to determine the motive behind the attack, more details about the suspect have emerged.
Suspect found to be disabled
According to The Star and Utusan, the suspect was represented by National Legal Aid Foundation lawyer S. Vijeswari Devi, who told reporters that her client was a person with disabilities.
However, she declined to comment further, adding: “My client is autistic. That is all I can say.”

Earlier, the suspect was taken to the Telok Datok Magistrate’s Court this morning and was remanded for four days after the remand order was issued by Magistrate Maslinda Selamat.
Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said the remand was to allow police to carry out investigations under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
