England will be without defender Jarell Quansah for Saturday’s quarter-final clash against Norway following his red card at the Azteca.
Thomas Tuchel guided the Three Lions to a historic victory against Mexico, which has booked their ticket in the last eight in Miami at the weekend.
However, victory did not come easy for England, with goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane only just proving enough.
Saturday’s game against Norway will certainly be a stern test for Tuchel’s side having lost Quansah in what is proving a problematic right-back position for England.
Just hours ago, FIFA overturned Folarin Balogun’s red card ahead of the United States’ clash against Belgium.
The controversial development now has Tuchel hinting towards more action from Donald Trump to help undo Quansah’s suspension.

In the wake of the contentious FIFA decision, Trump thanked Gianni Infantino for overruling Balgun’s red card.
This has now set a precedent at this summer’s World Cup, having entered the tournament without the ability to rescind red cards.
During his press conference after the match, Tuchel was asked whether Harry Kane should ask Trump to make the call to FIFA, he replied: “Maybe!”
Ironically, after the game in Mexico, Trump praised Kane for his goal and performance at the Azteca.
“To be clear it was not a red card. VAR got involved. The decision is made. Who overturns this decision and when and on what grounds? It’s strange for me. We want consistency,” Tuchel added.
Quansah will miss one game for England at the World Cup, but England are unable to appeal the decision despite Tuchel’s frustrations.
