A three-day capacity building programme for post graduate teachers (PGTs) and computer teachers of Himachal Pradesh Zone-C was held at DAV Public School, Mohal. The programme commenced with a graceful welcome address by the HP Zone-C Regional Manager and Principal of DAV CPS, Mandi, KS Guleria. The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished educationists, including Mohit Chugh, Principal and School Manager of DAV, Sundernagar, and RL Pathak, Principal of DAV CPS, Una. The formal inauguration began with the felicitation of guests, lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a collective rendition of the DAV Anthem. The host school’s Principal RS Rana delivered a welcome address and shared his inspiring thoughts. KS Guleria presented an insightful and motivating lecture based on a comparative analysis of the QPI (Quality Performance Index) of various schools in HP Zone-C. Thereafter, resource persons from the school, Deepak and Hemant, conducted an in-house CBSE workshop on the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). During the session, teachers were provided with practical and useful information regarding the new educational framework. The second day of the programme began with an erudite and highly enlightening session by Mohit Chugh, Principal of DAV, Sundernagar, and Manager of DAV Public School, Mohal. He delivered an impactful and thought-provoking presentation on the topic “Harmony in Education”. Subsequently, an in-house CBSE session on “Stress Management” was conducted by Sushil and Umesh. The session included a detailed discussion on the challenges of stress in a teacher’s professional life, and practical measures were suggested to develop emotional resilience and professional well-being. Later in the day, a visit to the serene and spiritual Sarabai Monastery was organised. The visit not only provided mental peace to the participants but also offered an excellent opportunity to strengthen mutual harmony and relationships. RL Pathak, Principal of DAV CPS, Una, shared his valuable insights on the role of teachers and their invaluable contribution to the moral and intellectual development of society. On the third day, Amita and Babita conducted an enlightening and sensitive session on “Mental Health and Well-being in Students”. The session highlighted the importance of mental health, emotional balance, stress management and the need for positive thinking among students. During the capacity-building programme, teachers from various departments delivered presentations related to their respective subjects, reinforcing the spirit of collaborative learning and professional excellence. Principal of the host school, DAV, Mohal (Kullu), RS Rana, expressed great satisfaction over the successful organisation of the workshop and extended his heartfelt gratitude to all participants.
