Troyes chief Francois Vitali has confirmed hopes of signing Manchester City target Isaak Toure.
The Le Havre defender is expected to join City this summer after visiting the Etihad campus earlier this month.
Troyes are City's partners in France and Vitali said: "Yes, there is an appetite for this player. But we are in competition with big French clubs, like Marseille and others. We are able to position ourselves, thanks to a shareholder who can assume a transfer of this level and who lends credibility to the project submitted to it.
"Does that put us ahead? No, we did not win the Champions League! But we can counter this argument by recalling that two 17-year-olds have played this season, that we have a group behind us that is huge, with incredible resources... This collective strength is just as strong as that of a club like OM."
