SANDAKAN: A two-storey house in Taman Fortune, on Mile 8, here, was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday.
Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Severinus Sainkui and his team rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 11.42 pm.
Upon arrival, the semi-wooden two-storey house was already engulfed in flames, with 100 per cent of the structure burned.
Firefighters extinguished using two 200-foot hose lines, drawing water from the fire engine.
The fire was controlled at 1.37 am, and the operation was completed by 2.16 am.
No casualties were reported, and the cause and estimated losses are still being investigated.
