Kota Kinabalu: Upko will continue to use the ‘Kinabalu’ logo for the Sabah Election and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) logo for parliamentary contests, said its president Datuk Ewon Benedick.
He said the decision followed discussions within Sabah PH, in line with the coalition’s autonomy endorsed by the Prime Minister earlier this year.
Ewon, who is also the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister, said the move reflected the uniqueness of Sabah’s political landscape and the spirit of respect for local decision-making within PH.
He noted that Upko’s choice mirrors past elections in Johor, where coalition partners used different logos, adding there was no issue for Sabah to do the same.
Ewon said seat negotiations within PH Sabah had been largely finalised, though some adjustments could still occur before Nomination Day, with the official line-up expected to be revealed then.
