TAMPARULI: Parti Solidariti Tanahairku (Star) Wiramuda Tamparuli Division strongly supports the decision of the party President to leave the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition ahead of the coming State Election (PRN).

Wiramuda Tamparuli Head, Jess Joel Moriga said it reflects the party’s original struggle spirit which wants to ensure that the voices and rights of Sabahans remain free from external influence.

“Wiramuda is ready to become an election machine. Star Sabah Tamparuli will participate in this PRN to fulfill the grassroots’ voice as the choice of Sabah’s local party to represent them in the N14 Tamparuli constituency,” he said.

Dr Jeffrey had said many young candidates from the Wiramuda wing will be presented as new candidates in the PRN, as an effort to strengthen the voice of the younger generation in the state’s political arena.

“We want the people to see that Star Sabah is not just a political party, but a platform for the real struggle of the people of Sabah who want to determine their own future,” he added.

Tamparuli Star Division Head, John Jinitoh said Dr Jeffrey’s action is a clear signal that the struggle for Sabah cannot continue to be constrained by the political machinations of Malayan parties.

He said, Malayan parties only want to maintain their power in the state, thus Jeffrey’s decision to leave GRS as a courageous step to defend the rights and dignity of the people of Sabah.
