Kota Kinabalu: A 55-year-old woman was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here Friday with committing a criminal breach of trust amounting to RM97,717, last year.
Ho Yung Fong pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Wan Farrah Farriza Wan Ghazali to committing the offence while being a sub-contractor of Kim Fong Canopy Sdn Bhd entrusted with managing the company’s sales proceeds amounting to RM97,717, have committed criminal breach of trust by using the company’s sales funds for her personal benefit.

The charge under Section 408 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between one year and 14 years and whipping and liability of a fine if convicted. The court fixed April 23 for mention and released the accused on a bail of RM3,500.
