Kota Kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Kota Kinabalu candidate Yee Tsai Yiew aspires to fight for the voice and aspirations of the youths, aside from resolving issues in Kota Kinablu.

Tsai Yiew sees that Kota Kinabalu is equipped with what it needs to become a developed area, but it needs someone who can make real changes.

“I want to realise the New Kota Kinabalu and bring renewal to this city that has been represented by other parties for so long. As we have seen after three terms it can be said that most of it is from the development of the State Government.

“Supposedly, as a representative of the people in parliament, that person should be vocal in voicing the wishes and aspirations of the people, especially in our fight for the rights of the people of Sabah as one of the partners for the formation of our beloved country, Malaysia,” she said Thursday.

She said she is determined to focus on education issues, traffic congestion, flood problems, youth economic empowerment and local economic development ideas to change the fate of the people, especially for people who are trapped by urban poverty.

Tsai Yiew is well aware that as a new face, she is faced with the stigma of lack of experience and credibility in politics.

“As a new face in politics, I know I will face different challenges such as the aspect of people’s trust in my ability as a representative of the people. However, I believe in myself and the party I represent in fighting for the people’s voice in parliament, if I am given the opportunity,” she said.

According to Tsai Yiew, GRS is an inclusive party that includes all the voices of Sabahans.

“The GRS party is a progressive party that gives opportunities to all without any discrimination, regardless of race, race, age or gender.

“GRS is a party that goes forward and ensures that the young generation is ready to drive forward. GRS is the best choice for the whole of Sabah,” she said.
