MANILA, Philippines — Zus Coffee fended off Akari, 25-11, 25-23, 26-28, 25-17, in the 2026 PVL On Tour opener at The Capital Arena in Ilagan, Isabela on Wednesday.
Rachel Daquis and AC Miner took turns in the final stretch to put the Thunderbelles at match point before an attack error from the Chargers ended the match.
Miner finished with 15 points while rookie Zam Nolasco also produced 15 points in her league debut.
Daquis chipped in 11 markers as Eli Soyud paced Akari with 16.
Zus thus bagged P100,000 for winning the match while Akari took P50,000.
