
MANILA, Philippines — Local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila suspended classes in all levels on Monday, August 10, as the southwest monsoon continued to dump rain.
The LGUs are the cities of Marikina, Quezon, Mandaluyong, Valenzuela, Manila, Malabon, San Juan, Pasay, Las Piñas, Caloocan, Parañaque, Taguig, Muntinlupa, Makati, Navotas, Pasig and the municipality of Pateros.
Marikina suspended both face-to-face and online classes in all levels in public and private schools, while Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Valenzuela, Manila, Malabon, Pasay, Caloocan, Taguig, Muntinlupa and Pasig suspended face-to-face classes and shifted to Alternative Delivery Mode.
San Juan, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Makati, Navotas and Pateros also suspended classes in all levels in public and private schools.
